"I got a letter today about the reunion class. Now I'm thinner on top, a little thicker in the ass. Just a bunch of grown-ups standing around. Looking at each other smiling, laughing, joking, talking bout..." I'm 99% sure that's what he said.

I thought his first few hits were George tunesi hadn't heard. Before i found out who easton was. Whoever writes for him obviously has written for George. The style is exactly the same. Not a bad thing.

I was able to part of this song walking out on stage at one of their concerts back in like 2007 in Trenton, NJ. It was awesome. Brooks & Dunn are so down to earth when talking with them. We drank in their coach after the concert. Also met Big and Rich and Cowboy Troy that night. We had 3 Marines in Dress Blues march on stage and salute. Talk about chills!!!

I was there, but can't remember the year-2010? At one point the crowd roared (25K-Tacoma Domerecord at the time?), he stooped and shook his head, over the adoration. You deserved it Kenny!!!

This is a Willie Nelson song. Pearl Jam covered the song. Artist should give other artist accurate credit.

You're incorrect. It's a Pearl Jam song. It was written by Eddie Vedder....

My girlfriend at the time and I were supposed to sit in handicapped seating near the right side of the stage. However, Brad's stage was larger than the Gorge people anticipated. Our whole handicapped section was swallowed up by it. So the house staff moved us to seats that were one row beyond the end of the center catwalk, one seat right of center. We were less than two yards from Brad (or whomever) when they came to the center catwalk microphone stand. Right before Brad came on, one of his crew hustled out to put sticky strips festooned with guitar picks on the catwalk microphone stands. Brad repeatedly threw his guitar pick into the audience and grabbed another ... over and over. During one trip to the center catwalk, one of those picks landed right in Beverly's lap. She was so delighted. Sadly, we stopped seeing each other, amicably, two years later, and she moved home to where her family was in Texas. I hope she still has that pick and it brings back some of the happiness of that night. One big memory I have of that night came about halfway through his show. He walked out to a small round stage they had near the back of the audience so the folks in the rear could see him close up too. He sat down on that stage with an acoustic guitar. He talked quietly about what this day meant to Americans (it was 9/11/2010) and to the world. The words were very touching. As he spoke, he played the most beautiful acoustic solo of _America the Beautiful_ that I have ever heard. I doubt that there was a dry eye in the Gorge that night.

I was there with the woman I was dating back then. I'd bought seats in the ADA section ... which would have been terrible seats if they'd existed ... but the stage was bigger than the Gorge had expected, so our seats were swallowed up by it. So we had to put up with the substitute seats they found. Bev and I ended up two seats to the left of the center catwalk, row 12; the catwalk ended at row 10. So when Brad Darius Rucker was at that microphone, we were less than three feet away. Incredible! There was an especially great moment for her that night. They'd put a sticky strip with guitar picks on the microphone stand. Each time he came down to sing there, he'd grab a pick, play a few bars with it, and toss it into the seats. Bev got one of those picks, and was absolutely delighted. But a moment I remember very distinctly came midway through the show. They'd put up a small second stage at the bottom of the slope where the "cheap seats" people were. Brad walked through the audience to do a few songs from there. At one point he sat down on the edge of that little stage, basically in the middle of his audience. He talked about it being Sept. 11, and how the spirit of America had risen up in the face of that assault on us nine years before. As he talked, he played a stunningly beautiful acoustic solo of "America the Beautiful." There weren't many dry eyes at the Gorge right then.
